
Louisville Metro Police are investigating the robbery of a credit union that took place Friday (11/13) morning.
According to Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell, it happened just before 8 a.m. at the Jefferson County Credit Union at 9600 Ormsby Station Road, near the intersection of New La Grange Road and Whipps Mill Road.
Police say a man was hiding in some bushes outside the bank waiting for employees to arrive. He was armed with a gun and put three employees inside the bank vault.
He eventually left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash, fleeing in an unknown direction.
None of the employees were injured.
