
Authorities are searching for a suspect who was driving a semi and crashed into a Louisville Metro Police Department cruiser.
About 6:50 p.m. Thursday a First Division officer on routine patrol was traveling south on Floyd Street when her vehicle was struck by a cargo truck that turned in front of her, according to a Louisville Metro Police Department press release. The officer received minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by another officer, while the driver of the truck fled the scene on foot.
There were no other injuries or vehicles involved.
Traffic was diverted at Floyd and Muhammad Ali while police investigated the accident.
