A man is behind bars on charges of receiving stolen property in connection to a burglary at Signature Motors on Happy Valley Road in Glasgow.
All seven vehicles reported stolen in the case have been recovered as well as other items including computers, printers, a fax machine and a window air conditioner which were found inside the 2008 gray Chevy Trail Blazer.
While on patrol in the early morning hours of Thursday (12/10) a Glasgow Police officer found two vehicles that were stolen from Signature Motors after a burglary at the business on December 8, 2015.
The cars, a silver 2008 Subaru Impreza 2 and a black 2006 Chevy Monte Carlo LT were located at Extreme Gymnastics.
The same morning another officer found two other vehicles that were taken, a black 2004 Ford F150 and a gray 2008 Chevy Trail Blazer at T J Samson Community Hospital.
A red 2008 Nissan Altima and a silver 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer were located at Ralphie’s Fun Center. A black 2008 Infiniti G35 was located in a church parking lot in Allen County with the suspect in the case Tuesday, December 8, 2015.
The suspect, 34 year-old Kyle Joseph Mize of Cave City, was arrested by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department and lodged in the Allen County Detention Center. Mize will be extradited to Barren County upon service of the warrant.
Because the investigation is ongoing by the Glasgow Police Department, it is not known if Mize had an accomplice in the vehicle theft.
