Police are investigating several incidents of thefts and vehicles being ransacked. The Brandenburg Police Department reports that several cars have been ransacked in recent days.
The incidents have happened in the Happy Ridge and Lakeview Subdivisions. Police urges residents to make sure to lock your vehicle and of course hide any electronics, valuables, or Christmas gifts that may be in a vehicle.
It is also a good idea to place items at home away from windows or doors where valuable items of Christmas gifts can been in easy view. Police urge residents and motorists to be cautious of their surroundings and do their part in protecting themselves and their property. Police ask if you see any strange or suspicious behavior to call 911 immediately.
