An Ohio County woman has been accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a person entrusted to her care.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office arrested 54-year-old Jennifer Patton, of Beaver Dam, on Tuesday afternoon and charged her with theft by unlawful taking (over $10,000, less than $1 million) and knowingly exploiting an adult (over $300).
Patton, who had access to the male victim’s bank card, illegally withdrew $30,000 from her employer’s account and used the money for gambling.
Patton was lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center on a $10,000 cash bond.
