A two vehicle accident claimed the life of a Cecilia woman Friday (2/12) afternoon at the intersection of Patriot Parkway and Deckard School Road in Hardin County.
According to Kentucky State Police, 53 year-old William Cundiff of Cecilia was traveling northbound on Patriot Parkway in a 1986 Ford Crown Victoria when a 2006 Toyota Camry driven by 21 year-old Kalin Sleeper of Vine Grove pulled into the path of the Cundiff vehicle, after being stopped at the stop sign on Deckard School Road.
A front seat passenger in the Crown Victoria, 74 year-old Louise Cundiff of Cecilia was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s office. William Cundiff was airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Sleeper suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Hardin County EMS.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Hardin County EMS, Vine Grove Fire Department, and the Kentucky State Highway Department.
Alcohol is not suspected as a contributing factor.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
