Police are searching for a Cecilia woman who escaped from the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex near Eddyville Wednesday (2/17/16).
After the staff conducted a head count, the staff at the complex notified Kentucky State Police Post 1 in Mayfield about 9 p.m. CST that 40 year-old Lostia Michelle Shreves was missing.
Shreves is described as 5-foot-7 with short brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt, Khaki pants, white t-shirt, a fisherman style hat and black boots.
She is serving time for a probation violation for felony offenses of first-degree possession of a controlled substance; unlawful distribution of meth precursors, first offense and third-degree burglary.
Shortly after she was noticed missing, Kentucky State Police received a report of a stolen vehicle from a residence near the Western Kentucky Correctional Complex. Shreves may be in this vehicle.
The vehicle is described as a Maroon 1997 Ford F150 bearing Kentucky License Plate 8472CG.
Anyone with information about the escapee or stolen truck is urged to call the Kentucky State Police 1-800-222-5555 or their local law enforcement.
