A former Hardin County social worker has admitted to making false child-abuse reports against two of her neighbors to the state agency that employed her.
Court records show Beth Bond pleaded guilty May 13 to six counts of complicity to falsely report an incident. She received a 12-month suspended sentence.
April Rogers and Corey Chaney said police and social workers were sent to their Elizabethtown apartment numerous times in 2015 after receiving false tips that the two of them were abusing their infant child.
The complaints ended after Bond and her then-fiance, Joseph Applegate Jr., were charged, and Bond quit her job with the state Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Applegate also pleaded guilty to one count of complicity to falsely report an incident.
