
Mary Thompson has been indicted by a grand jury in Warren County for the murder of Dealynn O’Connor in Smiths Grove in June.
According to the indictment, Thompson shot O’Connor on June 15 inside O’Connor’s home on Hays Lodge Road.
In an interview with police shortly after she was arrested, Thompson admitted to killing O’Connor.
Thompson was tracked to a house on July 6 on Richpond Rockfield Road where police had to use gas rounds to force her out of the home and make an arrest.
Dealynn O’Connor was found on June 17 in a house she was renting in Smiths Grove. Neighbors say she had been living inside the home for about a year.
Thompson has also been indicted on two charges of persistent felony offender in the second degree, and one charge of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
In May 2010, Mary Thompson was convicted on 20 counts of forgery second degree, and on October 27, 2015 Thompson was convicted of felony possession of a handgun.
Her bond remains at $1 Million. She’s expected to make her next court appearance within a week.
In February, Dealynn O’Connor was kidnapped in Radcliff and stabbed 8 times, after refusing to jump off a bridge and into the Ohio River at Brandenburg.
Since February, five people have been charged in the kidnapping and stabbing of O’Connor.
Four of those people – Christopher Deaton, Schawn Millin, Angela New and Trevor Brown Jr. will stand trial starting September 19.
