An inmate at Kentucky State Penitentiary in Eddyville was assaulted on Thursday by another inmate.
Ike Williams was assaulted by David Thurman around 9:00 a.m.
Williams was taken to Caldwell County Hospital before being taken to the University of Louisville Hospital for further treatment.
The incident remains underinvestigation by the Kentucky State Police and Kentucky Department of Corrections.
