
Fire crews in Meade County responded to a structure fire early Monday (11/21) morning.
Crews from Battletown, Payneville, and Wolf Creek Fire Departments were called to a mobile at 75 Wildwood Park Road around 7 am. When crews arrived at the scene they found a mobile home fully engulfed in flames. Crews worked through the cold temperatures to contain and extinguish the fire within a hour and half. One fire fighter was taken to the hospital by Meade County EMS to be checked out for a non life threatening injury.
Meade County RECC and the American Red Cross also assisted at the scene. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
