Ground was broken Friday on a new nine-screen movie theater complex in Elizabethtown.
The 42,000 square-foot Crowne Point Theatre will feature a 62-foot screen, which is believed to be the largest in the region outside Louisville. The $11.5 million complex also will be equipped with reclining seats, reserved seating, seat-side concession delivery, party rooms, a game room and a convenience store concessions set-up to make for shorter lines and faster service.
Crowne Pointe Theatre partner Robert E. Robbins said, “We are bringing together the highest quality picture and sound equipment and the comfort and convenience that today’s movie-goers want.” Crowne Pointe Theater is being built at 2908 Dolphin Drive in Elizabethtown next door to the city’s post office. It is expected to open in late fall 2017.
