Indiana State Police arrested Cannelton Fire Chief Christopher Herzog for allegedly shoving a Cannelton Police officer at a fire scene.
It all reportedly happened while both departments were responding to a house fire on Knight Street in Cannelton on Tuesday (12/27). Authorities say officer Ryen Foertsch tried to break a window to clear the home when the fire chief pushed him hard several times. Herzog then reportedly started yelling and cursing at the officer.
Indiana State Police responded and later arrested the 51 year-old Herzog on a charge of battery against a public safety official.
