
A Leitchfield man was arrested this week after leading police on a pursuit around 2 pm CST Monday (1/2) afternoon.
According to an Leitchfield Police, officers and Grayson County Sheriff’s deputies, responded to the scene of a traffic stop along Highway 259 where a suspect fled from a city officer.
Police pursued and caught 29 year-old William Agrinsoni-Gonzalez, of Leitchfield after a short foot pursuit, during which Agrinsoni-Gonzalez discarded a firearm. The gun was found near the location where the suspect was apprehended.
Agrinsoni-Gonzalez was arrested and charged with possession of handgun by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, fleeing or evading police (on foot), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for evaluation, and then lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center on a $5,000 cash bond.
Agrinsoni-Gonzalez previously was convicted in October 2011 for complicity to commit robbery in Jefferson County, and in 2012 and 2013 he was arrested in Hardin County for parole violations.
