The Jefferson County Coroner has identified the man who was shot and killed in the Buechel neighborhood on Thursday.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, 53-year-old Antwan Whitehead was the man killed by 31-year-old Lindsay Kelley. Whitehead died shortly after being transported to UofL Hospital.
On the day of the shooting, Louisville Metro Police said officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Derby Avenue, near Buechel Park, just before 1:45 p.m.
A witness told police Kelley and Whitehead were in a verbal altercation when Kelley tried to strike the victim with a lawn mower, and the victim fell to the ground.
Kelley was arrested Thursday night and charged with Murder. According to court documents, Kelley partially secured a $250,000 bond, placing her on house arrest.
