A domestic dispute in Grayson County resulted with a Big Clifty man arrested for shooting at his wife.
According to The Grayson County Sheriff’s Department, a report of a domestic violence shooting received around 3 pm CST Saturday (1/6) afternoon at a residence on Hughes Mill Road, just off Elizabethtown Road in Big Clifty.
As police were responding to the scene, they were informed that the female victim said her husband shot at her as she was fleeing out of the front door of the residence.
Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith arrived first at the home and saw the victim lying on the front porch. Meredith commanded the suspect, Marcus Anderson, out of the residence.
Anderson complied and was taken into custody on charges of wanton endangerment and domestic violence assault and was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center. The victim was taken to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by Grayson County EMS.
Sheriff Norman Chaffins said no evidence of a shot being fired was found but the victim did report Anderson fired a shot. Chaffins said a struggle had clearly taken place inside the residence, and a firearm was found in the home.
