Fire crews in Breckinridge County was sent to a structure fire over the weekend.
Around 5 pm CST Saturday (1/7), crews from the Webster, Irvington, Custer, Harned, and Hardinsburg Fire Departments were called to a report of a house fire near the intersection of West Highway 86 and Cook Ridge Road. Fire crews worked about two and half hours to extinguish the flames which caused major damage to the structure. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Irvington Police officers Jason Ballman and Travis Dalton and Constable Wayne Beauchamp assisted at the scene for traffic control. The State Transportation Cabinet assisted to treat the roadway due to icing from the water from the fire suppression efforts.
