
Fire crews in Meade County were called to two separate fires Monday (1/16).
The first fire was reported around 9:50 am in the 200 block of Rock Ridge Road, prompting crews of Meade County, Flaherty and Muldraugh Fire Departments to a structure fire. Fire crews worked over an hour to gain control of the fire and extinguish it. Crews were assisted at the scene by the Meade County Sheriff’s Department and Meade County EMS and LG&E. Crews clear the scene around 12:30 pm.
A second fire of the day, prompted the Payneville Fire Department to respond to the 900 block of Bald Knob Road just before 7 pm Monday (1/16) night. Crews was on the scene a short time to extinguish fire involving two vehicles. As fire crews were responding, the home owner was able to extinguish one of the car fires. Fire men extinguished the second car fire upon their arrival at the scene. Both vehicles were destroyed.
No injuries were reported in either of the fires.
