The Grayson County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help locating a suspect possibly involved in a high speed chase.
Deputies say on Wednesday (1/25) afternoon, they attempted to stop a vehicle on Hardin Springs Road in Grayson County when the driver refused to stop, leading deputies on a high speed chase going down Salt River Road and St. Paul Road, heading toward the Mt. Hebron community.
The vehicle crashed into other drivers, left the roadway multiple times and crashed through gates and fences, and caused significant property damage. The suspects were able to get away after crashing through a cattle gate on an old logging road deep in a wooded area, blocking deputies from pursuing them. The vehicle became disabled shortly after, with the suspects fleeing on foot.
Police say they have the identity of at least two of the suspects including the driver, but they are not being released at this time.
On Thursday (1/26), Grayson County E911 received a call of a white male walking along Salt River Road wearing blue jeans and a red hoodie. Deputies are asking for help identifying the man, saying he may have been one of the suspects.
Anyone with any information is urged to call Grayson County authorities or 911.
