It took less than three hours Friday (11/30) for a Hardin County jury to convict a Radcliff man in the 2017 death of his former fiancee.
Brian Woods, 35, was found guilty of murder and tampering with physical evidence. Woods was arrested April 4, 2017 when he walked into Radcliff Police Headquarters and confessed to killing 32 year-old Maria Williams, a mother of four children. She had been reported missing by her family that day. During the trial, Woods said he killed Williams by striking her with a fireplace shovel in the living room of a Congress Drive home after she made a derogatory remark to him. He then placed William’s body in garbage bags and then put her in a corner of a garage at the home.
Woods could be sentenced to life in prison Monday (12/3) when formal sentencing proceedings begin.
