
A Leitchfield man has been arrested after a domestic violence shooting.
Around 11:30 am Friday (1/25) morning, 33 year-old Wesley Roberts shot his girlfriend with a shotgun as she attempted to leave in a vehicle from a location in Moutardier, in Edmonson County. The victim was taken by private means to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center before being airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital.
Authorities from Grayson, Edmonson Counties along with Kentucky State Police searched for Roberts a few hours before finding him and the vehicle stuck in a field in the 4,000 block of Annetta Road. Roberts was taken into custody with out incident by police. Roberts was lodged in the Hart County Jail and likely will likely face a charge of attempted murder. The identity of the victim has not been released by police.
