
A 16-year-old is in the hospital after a shooting in the Portland neighborhood Saturday afternoon, according to Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Dwight Mitchell.
Mitchell said Louisville Metro Police responded to a call of a shooting in the 2900 block of West Market Street around 4:45 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a 16-year-old that had received a gunshot wound to the leg.
Officials said the victim was transported to UofL Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
Louisville Metro Police Department is handling the ongoing investigation.
