A Louisville man has been sentenced after he pleaded guilty to the 2022 death of another man.
Hunter William Thrasher, 26, entered a guilty plea on April 21, 2025, to charges of murder and abuse of a corpse.
Prosecutors with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney say Thrasher admitted to shooting 41 year-old Timothy Frazer to death sometime between January 5 and February 3, 2022. After killing Frazer, Thrasher admitted to wrapping Frazer’s body in trash bags and duct tape before storing it in a garage next door.
Thrasher was driving Frazer’s vehicle on February 2, 2022, when he was pulled over for having a forged temporary tag which he admitted to making. Police said the door window on the driver’s side was covered in plastic. When they searched the vehicle, officers found a spent shell casing along with blood that proved to be from Frazer.
In addition to murder and abuse of a corpse, Thrasher was also charged with obscuring the identity of a machine over $10,000, tampering with physical evidence, and criminal possession of a forged instrument. Thrasher waived a sentencing hearing and was sentenced to 22 years on the murder charge and lesser time on the other four charges. Sentences on the other charges will run concurrent to the prison time on the murder charge.
Prosecutors said Thrasher is not eligible for probation or shock probation and must serve 85% of his sentence before he can ask for parole.
