
A Battletown man was arrested after a police pursuit early Tuesday (6/10) morning in Meade County.
According to Kentucky State Police, troopers attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by 25 year-old Austin Trent of Battletown, when he led them on a pursuit that eventually went along Fred Fackler Road and ended in a field along Highway 79, just west of Brandenburg. Trent attempted to flee on foot and was apprehended.
Trent is charged with speeding 26 mph or greater over the speed limit; fleeing or evading police 1st degree; fleeing or evading police 3rd degree motor vehicle; wanton endangerment police officer 1st degree; reckless driving; resisting arrest; operating a motor vehicle under the influence 1st degree, aggravating circumstances; no tail lights; and no motorcycle operators license.
Trent was lodged in the Meade County Detention Center.
