Police Investigate Suspicious Item At River Front

Police are investigating a suspicious item found late Thursday (4/16) afternoon in Brandenburg River Front Park.

Brandenburg Police were called to Riverfront Park on a suspicious item/package on the main boat ramp. The suspicious item was secured and local authorities contacted Louisville Metro Police Department and federal partners for assistance. First responders created a safe zone perimeter around the boat ramp. The suspicious item was recovered by federal authorities and the area was deemed safe. This is still under investigation.

Brandenburg Police reminds citizens to call 911 immediately if they find a suspicious item or package. Do not approach or look into said package or item. Additional information is expected to be released as the investigation remains ongoing.
