Wilma Jean Simmons, age 89 of Ekron, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.
She was born on June 12, 1936, in West Point, to the late Ernest and Virgie Greer Wardrip. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Simmons; and her sister, Louise Wardrip of West Point.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Big Spring Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Buck Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, and at the church from Noon until the time of service on Wednesday.
