A woman was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning in Louisville, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Louisville Metro Police Department 1st Division officers were dispatched just before 3 a.m. to the 1100 block of Muhammad Ali Boulevard on a report of a shooting.
Officers found an adult female with a gunshot wound to the foot. She was treated at the scene before being taken to UofL Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The preliminary investigation determined the incident began in the 1000 block of Esquire Alley, according to police.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating. No suspects are currently in custody.
