
Louisville Police say a man was hit by a vehicle on Preston Highway after standing near the edge of the roadway.
LMPD spokesperson Christopher Baker says Sixth Division officers responded to the 5300 block of Preston Highway just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
He says upon arrival, officers found a man who was hurt and began rendering aid until EMS arrived and took over care. The victim was taken to UofL Hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
Louisville Metro Police Department says its preliminary investigation reveals the man was standing near the edge of the roadway when he was hit.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Police say no charges are expected at this time.
The LMPD Traffic Unit is investigating.
