Multiple agencies made a drug bust leading to the seizure of 44 pounds of crystal methamphetamine worth a million dollars.
On August 19, agents from The South-Central Kentucky Drug Task Force were assisted by Homeland Security Investigations from the Bowling Green Field Office, The South-Central KY DTF Aviation unity and Kentucky State Police Interdiction Team in the effort.
Crews said they made a controlled delivery of a package from a commercial shipping provider to a location that traveled through Logan County to a destination in Sharon Grove, Kentucky, according to a media release. The package was delivered and two people from Hopkinsville picked up the package and were arrested during a traffic stop.
Steven W. Caldwell, 49, and Amanda G. Tanner, 45, were arrested and taken to the Todd County Jail, according to the media release. The shipment has a street value of over $1,000,000.
More arrests are forthcoming as the case continues, according to officials.
