A 64 year-old woman has been arrested after a violent assault at a flea market in Shively.
Victoria Brown was arrested on August 31. She is charged with three counts of second-degree assault (conspiracy) and two counts of third-degree terroristic threatening.
According to court records, Brown was at a flea market in the 2900 block of Seventh Street Road on May 2 attempting to get a refund for a purchase.
When an employee told Brown she couldn’t get a refund, Shively Police said she threatened to “get her boys to come and beat up” the employee and another person.
Brown left and returned hours later with three men. Police said one of the employees began recording the argument and Brown allegedly grabbed her phone.
Two of the men stepped in and began pushing the other worker, allowing the woman to get her phone back.
All three men then began assaulting the two employees with a baton, a golf club, and their hands and feet.
A third victim was called to deescalate the situation but when he arrived, he was hit by the men who arrived with Brown.
Shively Police were eventually called and the three men and Brown fled the scene.
Records show the third man tried to stop Brown from fleeing, but she dragged him with her car.
All three victims sustained injuries, and two employees were transported to the hospital to be treated but were expected to survive.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Shively Police said the three men have not been arrested and the investigation remains ongoing.
Brown is expected in court for arraignment on September 14 at 9 a.m.
