Robert Joseph “Bobby Joe” Bishop, 66 of Brandenburg, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Brandenburg Health and Rehab in Brandenburg.
He was born October 8, 1948 in Hardinsburg to the late Elliott and Margaret Wardrip Bishop. He also was preceded in death by three sisters: Lucille Lyons, Janie Compton, and Barbara Miller.

Six sisters: Eltie Ferry and Darlene Dowell of Brandenburg, Lorene Compton of Hardinsburg, Annie Stephenson of Shepherdsville, Bessie Cravens of Owensboro and Doris Jean McVicar of Indiana.
Three brothers: Bill Bishop of Harned, Donnie Bishop of Irvington and Kenny Bishop of Ekron.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 , Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington, KY. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 9 p.m. E.D.T. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
