
Authorities near the Kentucky-Tennessee border are searching for a man who shot at police in both states Saturday morning.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, they say Floyd Ray Cook, 62, shot at an officer in Putnam County, Tennessee during a traffic stop.
Then as he was pulled over in Burkesville, Kentucky, Cook fired at police and fled on foot.
Cook was last seen driving a 2001 black Ford F-150 pickup truck with Kentucky plate 091-HCS. The truck has an extended cab with a toolbox in the bed, chrome running boards and a blue UK Wildcats license plate on the front of the vehicle.
Cook is also wanted for felony warrants in Kentucky.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
