A traffic stop in Cave City resulted in two being arrested on multiple charges.
Cave City Police pulled over a truck driven by 37 year-old Melisa Scott of Scottsville early Saturday (10/31) morning. The two responding officers determined that Scott was under the influence and a passenger, 38 year-old Michael S. Johnson also of Scottsville, was in possession of drugs.
Police say consent to search the hotel room where they were staying, was given by Johnson, where they located Crystal methamphetamine, Marijuana, Hydrocodone, Morphine, Alprazolam and cash.
Melissa Scott was arrested and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center for:
Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence
Operating on a Suspended Operator’s License,
Possession of Marijuana,
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and
No/Expired Registration Plates.
Michael S Johnson was also arrested and lodged in the Barren County Detention Center for:
Possession of Controlled Substance, First Degree (Methamphetamine),
Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, First Degree (Methamphetamine).
Possession of Marijuana,
Trafficking in Marijuana,
Possession of Controlled Substance, First Degree (Morphine),
Possession of Controlled Substance, First Degree (Hydrocodone),
Possession of Controlled Substance, Third Degree (Alprazolam), and
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and more charges may follow.
