Former Kentucky State Police trooper, Stratford Young, was sentenced in Meade County Circuit Court Thursday (11/19) for unlawful transaction with a minor.
Young accepted a plea deal with the initial charges of third-degree rape and sodomy being amended to 3 counts of unlawful transaction with a minor.
He was sentenced to 2 years in prison but the sentence was probated to 5 years, $1,000 fine and an order to never work with children again. Young will not have to serve any jail time or register as a sex offender as long as he meets all the probation requirements.
