Two people in Edmonson County were indicted Wednesday (12/02) on more than two dozen counts of forgery and entering false information.
In November, an Edmonson County grand jury indicted 49-year-old Donna Moore of Brownsville, and 51-year-old Steve Ashley of Bee Spring, on 28 counts each of second-degree forgery and entering false information to produce a title document.
Steve Ashley is a buyer and seller of classic cars. According to the indictment, Moore, a former Edmonson County deputy clerk, changed Ashley’s Social Security number on vehicle registration documents, so he could avoid paying the appropriate taxes on the cars.
Moore and Ashley will be arraigned in Edmonson Circuit Court at 10 a.m. on December 21. Both second-degree forgery and entering false information to produce a title document are class D felonies.
