Two Vine Grove residents remain in critical condition following a wreck that closed the road for over 2 hours late Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Ky. 313 and Lincoln Trail Boulevard.
According to a Vine Grove Police Department news release, a Nissan Maxi¬ma driven by Rita Hourigan, 25, appeared to have pulled off west¬bound Lincoln Trail Boule¬vard and into the path of a triple axle dump truck heading southbound on Ky. 313.
Hourigan and a passenger in her vehicle, 29 year-old Greg Swope of Vine Grove, were removed from the vehicle and airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville. The driver of the dump truck was uninjured.
Vine Grove and Radcliff fire departments, Hardin County EMS and Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement also assisted at the scene.
