Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal shooting involving an officer from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department.
Two officers from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department responded to a domestic disturbance about 2 p.m. EST Wednesday (12/09), after a report of a shot being fired at a residence on Saint Paul Road in northeast Grayson County.
When the officers arrived they were met in the driveway by a male suspect with a firearm advancing toward them. After not complying with the officers orders to drop the weapon, one of the responding Sheriff’s units fired his weapon multiple times striking the suspect and he was later pronounced dead by the Grayson County Coroner.
No other information was released, pending further investigation by the Kentucky State Police and notification of family members.
