Kroger warned customers on Facebook about an unofficial 40 percent off coupon on Thursday, December 17.
The coupon states a person could get 40% off all purchases in store, but Kroger stated, on Facebook, the giveaway is not affiliated with or supported by the Kroger Company in any way.
Kroger told their Facebook followers it is best not to engage with the site(s) that offer links to the coupon or give any personal information.
The company said their team is actively working with Facebook and domain service providers to address this.
