A math teacher at Bullitt Central High School has been arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Kristan Smith, 33, of Shepherdsville was arrested early Saturday morning by Hillview Police and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
Smith has worked at Bullitt Central since 2014 after previously working seven years in the Eminence school district, according to Bullitt County Board of Education attorney Eric Farris.
As of Saturday afternoon Smith is still employed by the school system, according to Farris.
Bullitt County schools began their winter break on Friday and classes don’t resume until January 5.
