
A single vehicle accident in Barren County sent two Glasgow men to the hospital.
The Kentucky State Police Post 3 out of Bowling Green responded to an injury collision on around 8:30 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2016, on Oil Well Road in Barren County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, 26 year-old Brandon Netherton was operating a 2007 Chevrolet car southbound on Oil Well Road when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing the car to go off the road and turn over.
Netherton was transported from the scene by the Barren-Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital where he was treated and released for treatment of his injuries.
His passenger, 30 year-old Jeremy Terry was ejected in the collision and was flown from the scene by Air Methods to the University of Louisville Hospital where he is listed in critical, but stable, condition.
Neither were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident and alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor.
KSP was assisted on the scene by Barren County Sheriff’s Department, Barren-Metcalfe EMS, Air Methods, and the Haywood Fire Department.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
