Police say they have been searching for a Fordsville resident since January 19th, when she missed a court date for several pending charges for drug trafficking.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Department teamed up with the Hartford Police to find 32 year-old Amanda Sutherland, who had been a known meth trafficker in Beaver Dam.
Sutherland was arrested on Matthews Street in Fordsville on Friday. This is the third time she has been arrested on trafficking charges in less than 6 months, according to police.
Police said Sutherland was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, marijuana and synthetic drugs from her home in August 2015.
Officers say they served the failure to appear warrant on her and Ohio County Sheriff’s Department detectives charged her with an additional count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a school, and one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense, Methamphetamine.
Those charges stem from a case worked by Ohio County Sheriff Department Detectives and Hartford police in October of 2015.
