After months of review, The Commonwealth has decided to pursue the death penalty in Timothy Madden’s murder case.
Madden was indicted in December of 2015 for the murder of 7-year-old Gabbi Doolin.
Allen County Commonwealth Attorney Clint Willis said he consulted the Doolin family as part of the decision.
The Commonwealth had until March 31, 2016 to make the decision on the death penalty.
Gabbi Doolin was killed on November 14 at a youth football game on the campus of Allen County-Scottsville High School after being reported missing for only thirty minutes. Doolin was found in a creek near the football field by police.
Timothy Madden was arrested a week later after police confirmed DNA at the crime scene.
He’s also facing charges of: Kidnapping (Victim Death), Rape 1st Degree (Victim Less Than 12 Years Of Age) and Sodomy 1st Degree (Victim Less Than 12 Years Of Age).
Madden is set to appear back in court on July 13, 2016 at 1:30 pm for a Status Pre-Trial Conference.
