New information has been released in a bizarre and complicated homicide investigation involving two bodies pulled from the Ohio River last week.
The first victim, Sarah Lindsay Ipock, was found near Troy, Indiana. The second, an unidentified male, was found just east of Owensboro.
Police now believe they both may have been dumped into the river in the Louisville area. Police said Ipock was last seen May 4 at Dairy Queen on Veterans Parkway in Clarksville, Indiana. Police said since both victims were discovered the same day, there’s a chance they knew each other.
It was on May 11, when separate barge crew members discovered the two bodies hours and miles apart. Indiana State Police were able to identify the first victim as Ipock through fingerprints. Kentucky investigators are handling the second body, a male, which they have yet to identify, hoping DNA and dental records will help. The male died of a gunshot wound to the head, but Indiana State Police is not releasing how Ipock died. Police believe both victims were missing about a week.
Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to call Indiana State Police.
