A Bowling Green man has been sentenced to 13.5 years in federal prison for methamphetamine trafficking and firearm offenses.
This follows a joint investigation by ATF Bowling Green Field Office and Kentucky State Police, where detectives discovered he tried to sell 176.5 grams of methamphetamine, and he was in possession of a firearm after a previous conviction.
According to a news release from U.S. Attorney Kyle Bumgarner of Western District of Kentucky, 38 year-old Steven W. Dye, Jr. will spend his time in federal prison followed by 4 years of supervised release with no option for parole.
He was previously convicted in 2023 of drug trafficking and firearm charges in Simpson County.
