For the first time, since the death of 2-year-old Laynee Wallace in Barren County in May 2015, the man accused of killing her admits to hiding her body.
Tuesday afternoon Anthony Barbour’s attorney focused on DNA evidence in the case. Specifically, hair found on a shirt.
He believes that hair will implicate someone else being involved in the death of Laynee. He says his client wasn’t involved in any type of murder, just lowering a body into a well.
Discussed in court, were two hairs found on a shirt in evidence that are in line to be tested at a Kentucky State Police crime lab.
Laynee Wallace’s body was found in a well on May 25, 2015. Barbour’s attorney admits his client placed the toddler’s body in the bottom of the pit on his family property, but says someone else helped.
