A former Warren County substitute teacher pleads guilty to four counts of “harassment with physical contact.”
The original charges against 53-year-old Kenneth Hart were for sexual abuse. Hart was accused of having inappropriate contact with students in January 2015, when he was substituting at Richardsville Elementary.
But those charges were amended down to misdemeanor “harassment with physical contact” and Monday he entered an Alford Plea, meaning although it is a guilty plea, he does not admit any guilt to the charges, but rather asserts his innocence.
Hart was given a probated 90-day sentence, meaning he won’t have to serve any jail time if he complies with the conditions of his release for two years. If he stays out of trouble for five more years his record will be expunged.
He must have no contact with the victims, and cannot get a teaching job involving children under 18, for seven years.
