
The Hopkinsville Police Department confirms that two women were stabbed to death.
Police responded to a disturbance on East Seventh Street just before seven Sunday morning.
When they arrived police found 69-year-old Francis Carolyn Coleman of Houston, Texas with a stab wound in her neck.
Police made contact with 65-year-old Robert Jerry Rogers of Hopkinsville, and found him covered in blood.
Shortly after, police found a third person, 62-year-old Joanne Rogers of Hopkinsville, dead in the home from what looked like a stab wound.
Coleman was taken to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville before being transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was pronounced dead.
Hopkinsville Police charged Robert Jerry Rogers with two counts of murder.
He is lodged in the Christian County Jail.
Both Francis Carolyn Coleman and Joanne Rogers were sisters of Robert Jerry Rogers.
