The Louisville Water Company is warning customers about a recent scam reported.
The Louisville Metro Police Department says it got a call about men in a white pickup truck posing as water company employees and requesting to test the water pressure at a senior’s home.
Apparently, the men posing as the employees stole the senior’s wallet and fled. According to an online post, a similar crime happened on two other streets in the Dixie Highway area.
The Louisville Water Company says their employees don’t need to come inside a customer’s home to test water pressure and will always be in a marked vehicle.
