Two West Virginia pharmacists are set to be tried in federal court later this month after they were accused of being part of an online drug dispensing scheme.
Philip E. Michael II of Alum Creek and Mark Reinhard of Cross Lanes face charges related to the distribution of drugs to customers without valid prescriptions. A trial is set for October 24 in Louisville, Kentucky.
An indictment says from June 2009 through at least April 2012, Michael shipped various prescription drugs to customers of online websites who didn’t have valid prescriptions. Prosecutors say bank accounts controlled by Michael received about $4,000,000 during that time period.
