Nestle is initiating a voluntary recall of two different packs of ice cream due to health concerns.
The company made the decision after it received positive test results for Listeria monoctogenes from equipment contact surfaces on the production line where the ice cream treats are made.
The affected items are the Nestle Drumstick 16 count Variety Pack and 24 count Vanilla Pack (with cones marked for easy individual resale).
No illnesses have been reported, but the company is initiating the recall as a precautionary measure.
Consumers who have purchased the products should not consume them, but should return it to the place of purchase or contact Nestle Consumer Services at 1-800-681-1676 or email Nestleproductinquiry@casupport.com for a replacement.
